Violist Roger Chase in Oak Ridge Saturday

Roger Chase, renowned violist, accompanied by pianist Michiko Otaki, will perform Saturday, March 28, at 8 p.m. at the Pollard Auditorium as part of the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association's Chamber Series.  The program will include works by Arnold Bax, John Ireland, Frederick Delius, and Rebecca Clarke.

ORCMA's press release stated:
"This Chase-Otaki program is part of "The Tertis Project" - a series of unique concerts and CDs by Chase and Otaki, who are devoted to 20th-century works by United Kingdom composers written for Chase's mentor and coach, the legendary violist Lionel Tertis. The Tertis Project debuted at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.earlier this year, and their first recordings will be released next year.  A London native, Chase studied at the Royal College of Music and with Tertis, whose Montagnana viola he now plays."
