A Street Fair with Flair

Ok, you say opera is not your cup of tea.  Even if you aren't taking in one of the opera productions at the Tennessee and the Bijou, that's no excuse to miss Knoxville Opera's Rossini Festival Italian Street Fair on Gay Street (and environs) this Saturday from Noon until 9 pm.

Here are SIX good reasons you shouldn't miss it:

1)  People Watch.  It really is exciting. It's a great place to see and be seen. Be sure to bring your camera.
2)  Great food.  All sorts of food, ranging from pasta and pizza to the other usual caloric delights...dozens of food vendors.
3)  Drink.  Adult beverages as well as selections on the softer side.  Bring your ID, though!
4)  Arts and crafts.  Dozens of artists selling their wares
5)  The price is right.  Admission is FREE, although there is plenty of food, drink, and stuff to purchase if you feel like it.

and last, but certainly not least...

6)  ENTERTAINMENT.  Singers and musicians of every type, and every type of music.  Including opera.  There are also plenty of activities for kids.
