As part of Downtown Knoxville's First Fridays series, the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra will perform a free concert on the Market Square Stage on Friday, May 1, at 6:30 PM. The program will consist of light classics, pops, and show tunes. James Fellenbaum will be the conductor.
In Oak Ridge, the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra will perform a concert featuring the music of Mozart: Selections from The Magic Flute and Le Nozze di Figaro followed by the Mozart Requiem K. 626. The soloists will be Emily Douglass, Joey DiMenno, Adam Kirkpatrick, and Andrew Wentzel. The conductor will be Cornelia Kodkani-Laemmli. The place and time is Central Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Friday May 1, at 8:15 p.m. There is an admission charge.
