Guest artist Emma Whitten will perform an organ concert on Sunday, June 28, at 4:00 p.m in the James R. Cox Auditorium of the University of Tennessee's Alumni Memorial Building.
The program promises to be an very interesting one-- it includes J.S. Bach's intriguing Chorale Prelude An Wasserflüssen Babylon, BWV 653.
Also on the program will be Praeludium in G by Nicolaus Bruhns; Vater unser im Himmelreich by Georg Böhm; Trio super "Allein Gott in der Hoh sei Ehr," BWV 664 by J.S. Bach; Organ Sonata, Op. 65, No. 6 by Felix Mendelssohn; Prelude and Fugue in F minor, Op. 7, No. 2, by Marcel Dupré; and the Prelude and Fugue in E-flat, BWV 552 by J.S. Bach.
Most concerts and recitals under the auspices of the UT School of Music are free.
