The Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra will open its 2009-10 season on Saturday evening, October 10, with works by Brahms and Sibelius. The concert, conducted by departing Music Director Cornelia Kodkani-Laemmli, begins at 8 p.m. at the Oak Ridge High School Performing Arts Center.
The concert will open with the Johannes Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1 in D Minor featuring guest pianist David Brunell. Brunell is Professor of Piano at the University of Tennessee School of Music.
Also on the program will be Symphony No. 1 in E Minor by Jean Sibelius.
