Since a previous post on the UT Symphony concerts went up on this blog, there has been a change in the program for this Sunday's concert, "A Few Words About Music...". This is due to tenor Andrew Skoog being forced to cancel as he recovers from back surgery. The expected program will now open with Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture, followed by Sergei Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf with the narration delivered by WUOT's Daniel Berry.
The second half of the concert will feature Samuel Barber's Essay for Orchestra and conclude with Benjamin Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra conducted by Rachel Grubb and narrated by the UT Symphony maestro, James Fellenbaum.
The concert is at 4:00 p.m. in the James R. Cox Auditorium in the Alumni Memorial Building on the UT Campus. Admission is FREE.
