UT Music: Holiday Choral Concert Next Tuesday

Maybe this year I'll actually get a seat.

The University of Tennessee School of Music offers its Holiday Choral Concert next Tuesday, December 1, 8 p.m., in the Cox Auditorium of the Alumni Memorial Building on the UT Campus. The various UT Choral organizations will be participating--The Chamber Singers, the Concert Choir, the Women's Chorale, the Men's Chorale, and the UT Singers.

The program selections run the gamut from traditional seasonal choral music to contemporary works, many that will be delightfully unfamiliar and intriguing.  Among the many works on the concert will be O magnum mysterium by Morten Lauridsen, the Franz Biebl Ave Maria, and works by Elgar, Mendelssohn, DuruflĂ©, and Rachmaninoff.

The concert, like most UT School of Music concerts and recitals, is FREE.
