UT Opera Theatre: "The Crucible" Next Week

The University of Tennessee Opera Theatre returns to the Bijou next weekend for a production of Robert Ward's The Crucible, based on the play by Arthur Miller.  Ward's opera was commissioned and premiered by New York City Opera in 1961.  Ward subsequently won the 1962 Pulitizer Prize for Music for the work.

The production will be directed by UT Opera Theatre Artistic Director Carroll Freeman and the UT Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Kevin Class.

The large student cast is split over three performances:
Friday, November 13, 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, November 14, 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, November 15, 8:00 p.m.
