"Baroque Masters" at Bijou Sunday

The Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra offers Baroque Masters: Bach and Pachelbel for its March Chamber Classics series concert at the Bijou Theatre on this Sunday, March 7. Concert time is 2:30 p.m. Check the calendar spotlight in this week's Metro Pulse for details.

On the concert:
• Handel: Overture to Theodora
• Purcell: Music from The Fairy Queen
• Vivaldi: Bassoon Concerto in A minor, with soloist Ellen Connors, KSO Principal bassoon
• Pachelbel: Canon and Gigue in D Major
• J.S. Bach: Cantata No. 211, "Coffee Cantata" with tenor Jonathon Subia, soprano Rebekkah Hilgraves, and bass Daniel Berry

A Downtown Idea: Catch this afternoon concert at the Bijou, have drinks and dinner downtown, then head over to First Baptist Church, Main Street between Walnut and Locust, for the Furman  (University) Singers at 7:00 p.m. See the previous blog post for details.
