Knoxville Opera Offers Season Preview at BCPL

After Knoxville Opera's amazing successes last season, the company feels that they now have the momentum to begin making the case for being a major regional opera company. The 2010-2011 season promises a lot--and we're really looking forward to seeing if Maestro Brian Salesky and colleagues can keep building on the success with new intriguing productions.

The already announced season of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, Massenet's Manon, and Bellini's I Puritani is certainly a captivating lineup. To that end, KO is offering a season preview at the Blount County Public Library on Thursday evening, September 2, as part of the library's Hot Summer Nights concert series. The FREE series takes place at 7 pm in the library's rotunda.

Maestro Salesky at the keyboard will accompany two singers from the company in selections from the three operas.
