Wednesday Evening, August 18th, 8 pm
On PBS (ETPTV), Live From Lincoln Center presents the Tony Award winning production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific starring Kelli O'Hara and Paulo Szot. Excellent production.

Bassoonist Jeff Womack (Visiting guest artist--Assistant Professor of Music at Angelo State University) will offer a recital in the Alumni Memorial Building--Performance Hall 32. (UT Campus) FREE

Friday, August 20th, 8 pm
Surely you jest. No, Shirley Jones and Robert Preston in the film version of Meredith Willson's musical The Music Man on the big screen at the Tennessee Theatre downtown. (Trivia: Preston's next project was All The Way Home, the film adaptation of James Agee's A Death in the Family, shot mostly here in Knoxville) The Music Man also screens on Sunday afternoon (the 22nd) at 2 pm. Now how many trombones was that again? I forget.

Saturday, August 21, 8 pm
Pianist Michelle Huang (Visiting guest artist) will offer a recital in the James R. Cox Auditorium of the Alumni Memorial Building. (UT Campus) FREE
