Yes, it's September! And with it, the music season begins to pick up steam.
The University of Tennessee Symphony Orchestra has announced its season--the first concert on Sunday, September 26th will feature American composers. Highlighted on the program is Aaron Copland's Billy the Kid Suite along with two works by Lucas Richman, Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Music Director. Included will be the world premiere of Kisses of a Pearl, an orchestrated song cycle featuring School of Music faculty tenor, Andrew Skoog.
Conducting will be James Fellenbaum. The concert is at 4:00 pm in the James R. Cox Auditorium of the Alumni Memorial Building on the UT campus.
