It's fall break time, and Classical Cafe will be taking a bit of a break as well. Updates may be a little sporadic, but here are some of the events to watch out for over the remainder of the month.

The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra offers A John Williams Tribute

Sunday, October 17
The UT School of Music Faculty Chamber Music Series returns, but in a new location--the Knoxville Museum of Art. This concert will feature works by Brendan McConville, Greg Danner, and Handel. (Don't be surprised if other works are added).
Knoxville Museum of Art, 4 pm, with a public-invited reception and student performances beginning at 3 pm
Thursday and Friday, October 21 and 22
The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra's October Masterworks Concert features the music of George Gershwin: Cuban Overture, Rhapsody in Blue (pianist Norman Krieger), Catfish Row Symphonic Suite, and selections from Porgy and Bess with soprano Denisha Ballew and bass-baritone Michael Rodgers.
