Here are the week's classical music offerings in the Knoxville area.

•  Monday, January 24 -- KSO Concertmaster Recital
The three finalists in the search for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra's next concertmaster begin a series of recitals held over the winter and spring. First is Gabriel Lefkowitz.

•  Thursday and Friday, January 27 and 28 -- Knoxville Symphony Orchestra concerts with violinist Midori
The KSO's January Masterworks Concert features works by Lucas Richman, Richard Strauss (Ein Heldenleben), and Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto (with Midori)
At the Tennessee Theatre in Downtown Knoxville at 8 pm

•  Sunday, January 30 -- The Evelyn Miller Young Pianist Series
Pianist Dmitri Levkovich begins this year's recital series
At the Lambert Recital Hall of the Clayton Center for the Arts in Maryville, 2:30 pm

•  Sunday, January 30 -- The Isotone Series of the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association
Isotone Concert Honoring Lisa Meitner
At the American Museum of Science and Energy, Oak Ridge, 3 pm

•  Monday, January 31 -- The Paul Winter Consort
This intriguing ensemble makes a concert stop at the Church of the Ascension in Knoxville.
