Monday Miscellany

Tuesday evening, March 1, will see a concert of the UT Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band at the James R. Cox Auditorium (Alumni Memorial Building on the UT Campus) at 8 p.m.

Next Sunday afternoon (March 6) has two events of interest.
At 2:30 p.m. -- The Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra will offer a concert of opera highlights featuring the orchestra and soloists Katy Williams, soprano, and Kevin Richard Doherty, baritone. Lucas Richman will conduct. The program includes:

Paisello: Overture to The Barber of Seville
Mozart:  Overture to The Marriage of Figaro
Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro - selected arias
Richman: Salutation No. 8
Sullivan: Overture to The Pirates of Penzance
Rossini: The Barber of Seville - selected arias
Rossini: Overture to The Barber of Seville

At 4:00 p.m. -- University of Tennessee Symphony Orchestra
Concertos and Classics concert, featuring 2011 School of Music Concerto Competition winners
James Fellenbaum conducts
