Knoxville Opera's Rossini Festival has become a very big deal for Knoxville. Even if one isn't an opera-goer, the Rossini Festival Italian Street Fair this Saturday should not be missed under any circumstances. It's a great event in downtown Knoxville, with entertainment and food and drink vendors a plenty. Arts and crafts vendors offer a diverse range of things to browse and purchase.Perhaps the most important thing about the street fair is the sense of community--if you come and fail to see a friend or neighbor among the thousands, have your eyes checked.
Be sure to stop by the Metro Pulse booth on Saturday and pick up this week's issue which will contain valuable information (by yours truly) on the opera productions: Knoxville Opera's I Puritani and UT Opera's Theatre's Albert Herring.
