Classical Cafe:

Fugue-less First Friday

It would seem to me that First Fridays would be an excellent time for some small ensembles to get some "will play for tips" performance time, given the huge crowds that throng to downtown.

The July First Friday was warm and inviting, a perfect evening. A flash mob "freeze" was an intriguing addition to the Market Square evening. As far as classical or new music goes, all I found in that category was the excellent cellist pictured below performing at the Art Market Gallery.

If anyone knows the identity of the cellist, leave a comment and I will add it.
