Individual tickets for concerts in the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra's 2011-12 season are now on sale. A 10% off special is being offered for tickets to the orchestra's opening Masterworks concert on September 22 and 23. The special only lasts a week, though, August 15 thru 19. Good things come in 3s. That opening September concert is an all-Beethoven one featuring guest pianist Alon Goldstein performing the Piano Concerto No. 3, plus the Symphony No.3 ("Eroica") and the Coriolon Overture. Maestro Lucas Richman conducts.
Note that the September concerts in the Tennessee Theater will begin at 7:00 p.m. to accommodate season opening festivities.
