Tonight on ETPBS: NY Philharmonic Opening Night

PBS's long running Live From Lincoln Center makes an auspicious beginning to its season tonight at 8 p.m. with a broadcast of the New York Philharmonic Opening NIght Concert.

Alan Gilbert, now beginning his third season as NY Philharmonic music director, welcomes soprano Deborah Voigt in a concert that will feature "Dance of the Seven Veils," and final scene from Richard Strauss' Salome along with works by Samuel Barber and the Overture and soprano aria "Dich teure Halle" from Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser.
