Classical Cafe:

Next Thursday: Symphony on the Square

Only a fraction of the events of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra happen in the two main concert venues--the Tennessee Theatre and the Bijou Theatre. Many more take place throughout the city and metro area under the umbrella of educational outreach and community programs. One of the more visible, audible, and fun performances will take the stage this Thursday, May 24, at 7:00 pm. on Market Square in downtown Knoxville.

The Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra will perform "Symphony On The Square," on the Market Square stage. This free public concert is sponsored by Home Federal Bank. Attendees are urged to arrive early and bring a picnic-dinner, blankets, and/or chairs. Word has it that Market Square restaurants will not turn away customers, either, if you arrive early enough.

The Chamber Orchestra, led by KSO Resident Conductor James Fellenbaum, will perform light classics, show tunes, and pops selections.
