Classical Cafe:

Lucas Richman to Guest Conduct Nashville Symphony

Knoxville Symphony Orchestra music director Lucas Richman gets around.

Richman will be guest conductor with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra in an All-Beethoven concert in their "Summer Festival" series: "Beethoven is Back!" The concert will feature the Eroica Trio in Beethoven's Triple Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Piano. (The trio consists of three women--Ericka Nickrenz, piano; Susie Parks, violin; and Sara Sant'Ambrogio, cello--who the New York Times once called the 'Erotica Trio' in some kind of journalistic Freudian slip).

Also on the bill is the Consecration of the House Overture and Beethoven's Symphony No. 4. The concert is Friday, June 15 at 8:00 p.m. at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
