Sadly, without a summer music series in Knoxville, we're between seasons these days. The next best thing, though, is a broadcast recording of a very intriguing Knoxville Symphony Orchestra concert from last fall. WUOT-FM (91.9) is offering this evening at 8 pm a broadcast of the KSO October 2011 concert that featured Copland's Rodeo-Four Dance Episodes, the world premiere of Theodore Wiprud's Violin Concerto (Katrina), and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor. Lucas Richman conducted.
I reviewed that concert in Metro Pulse. You can read the review here.
