The guest artist series at the University of Tennessee School of Music is one place to hear music and music performances you won't hear anywhere else. Case in point is the guest artist recital of percussionist Garrett Mendelow on Tuesday evening at 8 pm. Location: Performance Hall 32 in the Alumni Memorial Building on the UT campus. FREE

From his bio:
"Garrett Mendelow is an up and coming percussionist currently studying at Stony Brook University. Since starting percussion, Garrett has been involved in a variety of performance settings including jazz clubs, solo marimba, percussion ensemble, large orchestra, chamber performance, and musical theater. He is especially interested in contemporary percussion performance in both solo and chamber settings."
