As part of the UT School of Music's continuing Faculty and Guest Artist Series, clarinetist Thomas Parchman will give a recital Friday evening, March 1, at 8 pm in Performance Hall 32 of the Alumni Memorial Building. The recital is free.
Joining Parchman in the recital will be pianist, Judith Bible; and clarinetists Gary Sperl, Mark Tucker, and Benjamin Gessel.
Parchman is Professor of Clarinet at University of Southern Maine, and has been the Principal Clarinetist with the Portland Symphony Orchestra since 1984. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, a Master of Music from Northwestern University, and a Bachelor's degree in both Music Education and Performance from Southern Methodist University.
