Darrel Hale, the acting principal bassoon in the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, will perform a recital as part of the University of Tennessee School of Music's guest artist series. Hale will be joined by pianist Bernadette Lo.
Hale also holds Principal Bassoon positions with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. Originally from Colorado, he earned a Bachelor of Music in performance from the University of Colorado and a Master of Music from the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, where he is currently a Doctoral Candidate.
The recital is Thursday evening, February 28, 8 pm, in Performance Hall 32 of UT's Alumni Memorial Building. The recital, as most UT School of Music events, is free.

Maurice Ravel: Piece en forme de Habanera
Georg Philipp Telemann: Sonata in F minor
Henri Dutilleux: Sarabande et Cortege
Gustav Schreck: Sonate, Opus 9
