In this week's Metro Pulse, look for my preview of two of Knoxville's most important chamber music series, KSO's Concertmaster Series and the UT Faculty Chamber Music Series.

UT's series has been around for while, trying out different locations particularly since their new facility has been under construction. This season they've been in the nave of Church Street United Methodist on Henley Street downtown--and that is where you can find them in concert this Sunday afternoon at 3 pm.

UT Faculty Brass Quintet: Emily Whildin, Karl Kramer, Sande MacMorran, Cathy Leach, and Daniel Cloutier
"Variety" has always been one of the tenets of the series and that will be the case with this weekend's concert. On the program will be:
Mozart: Trio in Eb for Clarinet, Viola, and Piano, "Kegelstatt-Trio" K. 498
Karl Kramer: 15 Years of Clean Living for Brass Quintet
George Crumb: An Idyll for the Misbegotten, Images III
Schumann: Piano Quintet in Eb, Op. 44, Mvts I & IV
The concert is free. A reception follows the performance.
