Road Trip! Beethoven's Ninth in Kingsport

Oh joy! Or rather, Oh Ode to Joy. The Symphony of the Mountains, based in Kingsport, will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 on Saturday evening, May 4 at 7:30pm at the Eastman Employee Center in Kingsport, TN. Symphony of the Mountains will join with over 140 voices from Voices of the Mountains, Civic Chorale, King University Concert Choir and four  soloists: soprano Jennifer Barnett, tenor Andrew Skoog, mezzo-soprano Jami Rhodes, and baritone Kevin Doherty. Conducting is Cornelia Laemmli Orth

Barnett is the Director of Education and Community Partnerships for the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra; Skoog is on the faculty of the UT School of Music; Doherty was a graduate student in the UT SOM; Rhodes is currently on the faculty at East Carolina University.
