Wed/Thurs: KSO's 'Gabriel Lefkowitz and Friends'

The newest series from the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, "Gabriel Lefkowitz and Friends," starts up again this week at Remedy Coffee in the Old City. Now in its second season, this chamber series, which literally brims with freshness, originality, and ambience, can be caught Wednesday and Thursday evenings starting at 7 p.m. For information on the extremely affordable tickets, phone the KSO box office at 291-3310.

In this opening pair of concerts, Concertmaster Lefkowitz is joined by KSO principal cellist, Andy Bryenton, and by UT faculty pianist, Kevin Class. 

The program includes Zoltan Kodaly's Duo for Violin and Cello, Op. 7 (first movement), Richard Strauss' Sonata for Violin and Piano in E-flat, and Schubert's Piano Trio No. 1 in B-flat.
