Thurs/Fri: KSO Performs Nielsen, Grieg, and Sibelius

Scandinavian composers Carl Nielsen, Edvard Grieg, and Jean Sibelius make up this week's Knoxville Symphony Orchestra concerts at the Tennessee Theatre.

•  The Nielsen works are two selections from his opera, Maskarade: the Overture and the Dance of the Cockerels.

•  Pianist Andrew Staupe will be featured in Edvard Grieg's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in A Minor.

•  The second half work is Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 5 in E-flat Major.

Lucas Richman conducts.

Thursday and Friday evenings, Tennessee Theatre, 7:30 p.m.
