Tonight: 'Norma' ... Tomorrrow: Rossini Festival Street Fair

The Knoxville Opera Rossini Festival is here and it looks like a great weekend for it.

Tonight and Sunday afternoon: Two performances of Bellini's bel canto masterpiece, Norma, at the Tennessee Theatre. Check out the previews in this week's Metro Pulse, here and here. Performances: tonight at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are here.

Temperatures of mid-70s and a distinct lack of moisture will greet visitors Saturday to the Rossini Festival International Street Fair on Gay Street and surrounding streets. Free to attend; food, beverages, and artists' wares are available from tons of vendors. Time: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Information/maps are in the special section of Metro Pulse.
