Thurs: Rachmaninoff, Dvorak at KMA

This Thursday, May 8, will see a special fourth event in the KSO's 2013-14 Concertmaster Series -- in the Great Hall of the Knoxville Museum of Art in conjunction with the opening of the  Richard Jolley glass art installation. 

The 7:00 p.m. concert will include concertmaster Gabriel Lefkowitz, of course, who will be joined by colleagues Gordon Tsai (violin), Kathryn Gawne (viola), Andy Bryenton (cello), and pianist Kevin Class of the UT School of Music.

The program offers:

•  Rachmaninoff     Trio élégiaque No. 1 in g minor
•  Sarasate            Zigeunerweisen  
•  Dvořák              String Quartet in F Major, Op. 96, "American" 

Refreshments will be served after the performance.
