A few weeks ago I had that relentless virus and really couldn't think about food so much, but seeds for growing foods, that was another story. I dreamed, I dwelled, I haunted Mayo's and Wal-Mart, Three Rivers Market and Ramsey House, thinking about what I might plant. Turns out I'm part of a trend--victory gardeners are on the warpath. In case any of you are like me, though, this handy "growing from seed" guide from master gardener Marie Hofer might help you extract the seeds from the fantasy and get them into the ground. Hofer's the gardening guru for the HGTV.com website, but she's also a local yokel--and she really knows her stuff.
