The first-ever "Eat Out With Pride" event at Oodles Uncorked on Market Square is just one of the innovations made for this year's fresh and expanded Knoxville PrideFest 2009. The idea's not complicated--the event organizers are just asking folks to eat at Oodles Tuesday night (that's today!) to support the restaurant that is one of the event sponsors. Oodles has definitely gotten into the spirit of things, offering a dinner special of Rainbow Trout with Rainbow Swiss Chard from the Farmer's Market and Rainbow Gastrique--a multi-colored slightly sour sauce French sauce made from berries chosen for their contrasting colors, says Executive Chef Amelia Adams. And then there are the martinis. One premium featured tonight that caught my eye is the S' Moretini. A house martini (meaning it's gonna be two-for-one, so drink responsibly and remember these aren't candy) will be rimmed with Smarties and include Tanqueray and some other jazz. If you can't turn out tonight, look for the Smartini Martini recipe right here at Fearless Foodie sometime here in a couple of days.
