Fearless Foodie:

Behind the Dream at Fountain City Diner

It's always nice to see someone reaching for the stars, and the Fountain City Diner is the business Gibbs residents Dennis and Penny Wagner have been dreaming about for 20 years. It's been open just since Sept. 1. I haven't been there enough to vouch for the food--although the chopped steak with onion gravy and side  vegetables I had one lunch was tasty--but these are good folks. Read about it in my Local Biz Profile, "Fountain City Diner Recalls Simpler TImes."

The Fountain City Diner is owned by a gracious couple serving excellent food. The food is a cut above the usual "Diner" fare and Penny and Dennis make sure their customers receive value for their hard earned dollars. We are regulars because we appreciate their food and hospitality.
