I can't tell you how much fun it was to be immersed in the world of bacon fiends for days on end in preparation for this week's Metro Pulse cover story, Bacon Lust. If you eat meat, don't read this before lunch or dinner or at least a heavy snack or you'll be miserable.
And don't forget BaconFest this weekend. Sorry, you're out of luck with tonight's Swine and Dine, it's already sold out, but BaconBits is on for tomorrow at Ironwood Studios. Here's the scoop:

Join us at Ironwood Studios for a semi-competitive bacon off. Bring your favorite bacon dish and drink. BaconBits will feature live music and PRIZES awarded for various bacon categories such as, best use of bacon grease, most pork/bacon used in a dish, most contemporary interpretation of a traditional recipe, most exotic, and many more. There will be a suggested $5 cover if you bring a dish, $7 if you don't for BaconBits that includes a sampling of contestants' food, live music, and other tasty treats.
