Fearless Foodie:

Lose Weight Blog--from a Baker!

I don't think I've made any secret of my admiration for local Biggest Loser contestant Sherry Johnston, who's been voted off Season 9 but is here in Knoxville vying for the $100,000 that goes to the Biggest At-Home loser. Johnston was also a main source for the recent Metro Pulse cover story, "Living Large: 5 Reasons Knoxville's (Still) Fat."

Now another friend, who does not hail from Knoxville but has been here a couple of years, is trying to tweak her  waistline with the help of Weight Watchers, and is chronicling the whole process with an insightful and plainspoken blog, "Bake It Skinny."

Here's the kicker: we know this woman, Lindsay Beeson, best as The Plum Baker, who delivers fantastic baked goods to such places as Coffee and Chocolate, and also peddles them  at the Market Square Farmers Market. Talk about your conflict of interest! And if that's not enough to pique your interest, remember those Knoxville Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies she invented?

Wow that is inspirational. I don't know how she does it. I would be eating everything in sight!
