Gotta love a guy with an upscale Southern cuisine restaurant (the Grill at Highlands Row in Bearden) who decides to develop a line of signature moonshine cocktails. Tom Weiss told me a while back a loyal customer helped him with the specialty cocktail menu. I don't care who did it, it's just fun to have the recipe for a Moonshine Mojito, which we ran as part of our Bar Guide last issue. The recipes from S&W Grand (for the Claire-voyant) and Nama (a Green Sweet Tea concoction just right for sushi) are here, too. Have fun with this, and try not to notice that all three beverages look quite a bit alike. I assure you, the taste sensation and the appetizer they go well with are quite distinct. Oh, yeah, and if you want to read more about moonshine and a legal local source, Jesse Fox Mayshark wrote a nifty column about that early this summer. Libatious!
