Now, I almost never recommend coupons because most of them are just minimal savings or, worse, a rip off. But I've often used the coupons I receive from Earth Fare-Bearden via e-mail, and they're quite substantial and useful, like free brie with a $5 purchase.
Now, those same folks want us all to sign up for their new website, Earthfare.com, and are offering a free "dinner for four" if you do so. It actually requires a $10 purchase, which is a cinch if like me you like their pesto, kettle-cooked peanuts, or riotously earth-friendly coffee beans. And the dinner involves either veggie burgers or a deli chicken, a bag of organic baby carrots, and a one-pounder of mashed potatoes, good from Feb. 9-16, with more weekly rewards on the way.
