Fearless Foodie:

Joe Bryant Brings His Best BBQ to Homeless

Had the honor of interviewing Joe Bryant, who barbecues once a month with his Black-Eyed Joe's BBQ for Lost Sheep Ministries, and serves it up under the I40 overpass: Black-Eyed Joe's BBQ Feeds "First Fruit" to the Homeless

Great guy, great idea--and a great sense of humor when he had to ask me later to remove the quote where Lost Sheep's Maxine says, "sit your ass." She didn't--"she's tough, but she talks like an angel," Joe wrote me. He talks like a sailor, and barbecues like an old-school cowboy. I'm after his bean recipe that involves Cheerwine, by the way, and the next volunteer op is April 27.208302_10150146444589294_315133064293_6463343_5848690_n.jpg
