Chef Bruce Bogartz of RouXbarb Restaurant Announces New BBQ Luncheon Spot

Knoxville, Tennessee. April 15, 2011.  Chef Bruce Bogartz announced today a new offering for BBQ lovers in East Tennessee with the opening of The BBQ Shack at RouXbarb, a new BBQ experience located behind his signature restaurant, RouXbarb, at 130 S. Northshore in Knoxville. Following Chef Bogartz's farm-to-table philosophy, many of the menu items at The BBQ Shack are bought from local farmers for the freshest flavor possible.

"Knoxville residents love BBQ, and The BBQ Shack is the perfect venue for me to sell the simple, unique, quality BBQ that I know to be best," Chef Bogartz said.

Housed in a quaint shack with built-in smokers, The BBQ Shack is open from 11 am to 3 pm for lunch and catering orders. The menu includes smoked brisket, pork, ribs, bologna, chicken, and other meats available to the Chef that day. The sides vary each day, but could include smoked macaroni and cheese, homemade Bush's baked beans with brisket, cole slaw with vinegar and bleu cheese crumbles, and anything else appealing to Chef Bogartz's whim. Also on the menu are freshly-made desserts including white chocolate banana pudding and seasonal fruit cobblers. On any day, customers will find Chef Bogartz in the relaxed atmosphere of his new project, serving his specialties and wooing his customers with his big charm.

"The greatest thing about The BBQ Shack is that we can actually take it to customers through the Knoxville area through our catering," Bogartz said. "Even if you cannot get to Bearden for lunch, we can bring the best BBQ in Knoxville to you!"
