Fearless Foodie:

Sweet Chard of Mine

001.JPGLook at this, will you! I have a very nice raised bed or two outside, and my chard decided all on its own to survive all those freezes this winter only losing a few leaves on the outside. Then it sprouted this lovely green newbies, and if I can get to it before the bugs warm up and find it (note few holes already), all should be swell. Not sure about chard? I wrote this love letter of a column to it last year, and am going to blog some recipes here soon, too. Meantime, if you've got chard news or questions, I'm at kennedyr@metropulse.com. I doubtless won't have a clue, but we can have fun finding answers.

Chard for Life by Rose Kennedy

P.S. That's a survivor carrot frond you see on the left. Lots of romaine and various cabbages pulled through, too, but under some plastic hoop things.
