Fearless Foodie:

Whoo Hoo, the Nug Truck Apr. 19, 20, 25

Apparently this is news to make our own Bonnie Appetit deliriously happy: The Nug Truck is on its way to Knoxville. Here's the (pardon the  pun) scoop from the promoters:

The Nug Truck celebrates ice chewers in Knoxville

It's chewy, cold and delicious--and people love it! Ice chewers all over the country are passionate about chewable ice, known as "nugget ice," and Knoxville is no exception.

That's why the Nug Truck, a mobile food truck serving nugget ice, plans to make stops at two Petro's Chili & Chips locations and a Flying J. The Nug Truck stops include:

Tuesday, April 19, 2 - 4 p.m.

Petro's Chili & Chips

7005 Kingston Pike

Wednesday, April 20, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Flying J

800 Watt Road

Monday, April 25, 2 - 4 p.m.

Petro's Chili & Chips

1033 Cedar Bluff Road

The Nug Truck is part of the Nugget Nation, a digital community of ice chewers located at  LuvTheNug.com . The Nug Truck will spread the news about a contest that ice chewers can enter for a chance to win their very own nugget ice machine. To enter, participants can upload a "nug moment," by midnight on Tuesday, April 19 (voting starts the next day).

Knoxville ice chewers can find other locations serving chewable using the "Nug Finder," which locates nugget ice by zip code.
