Fearless Foodie:

Cheeseburger on a Krispy Kreme--Now In Knoxville!

Who knew? The Luther Burger, the cheeseburger served on a Krispy Kreme first made famous in Atlanta at Mulligans, a bar that closed in 2006, is now available in Knoxville at Pero's On the Hill. The original, because its inventor, Chandler Goff, is now co-owner of Pero's and brought his recipe with him. I caught up with him for a Street Talk interview:

Now, if you suspect this ain't a health food,  you'd be right. But Chandler tells me he only eats one occasionally, and would recommend the same "moderation combined with guilty pleasure" approach to his customers. And the rest of the Pero's On the Hill menu is chock full of luscious Greek, Italian, and American fare, much of it heart healthy.
