The Knoxville News-Sentinel broke this story last night; Patrick Sullivan's Steakhouse and Saloon in the Old City is done, the second shoe to drop after owner Frank Gardner's Manhattan's closed last year. Lots of rumors about why the place, and its nifty little Back Room BBQ, is joining the slag heap. All I can say for now is I'm feeling blue knowing I'll never eat their mashed potatoes again. And I hope someone else buys it because it was always fun to see who ended up in that giant booth/table that dominated the front window.
