Kuumba Festival to Feature Palavah Hut Owner; Liberia

Hawa Ware of Knoxville's own Palavah Hut will be the featured artist. I had the pleasure of writing about her and her Liberian way with cooking greens, learned from her father, in this column:

The Palavah Hut Steams Up Beloved Food Memories by Rose Kennedy

Ware's husband Armaa Johnson will host the accompanying film festival, which will feature his own Looka Us documentary.
