Liberia is the focus of this year's KUUMBA Festival, presented by Appalachian African American Arts, Inc. June 28-July 1. Hawa Ware of Knoxville's own Palavah Hut will be the featured artist. Ware's husband Armaa Johnson will host the accompanying film festival, which will feature his own Looka Us documentary.
