One of life's great luxuries is when we bring home a regulation New York-style medium pepperoni pizza from I Heart NY Pizza in South Knoxville. (It's now under the ownership of man about town John Wright, by the way, but with all the same old recipes from its American-Italian origins.) Last night, though, I got to enjoy some on premises. When I was remarking that it would never taste as good reheated at home, a friend contradicted me with this tip: reheat the pizza slice inside a frying pan, no lid, on medium-low heat, and it will recapture the textures and temp of the pizza parlor. Bless her Internet-surfing ways, she was right! I'm right now testament to it being, maybe not as good as that first slice, but definitely as tasty as half-hour old pizza. And this makes me very happy.
