Fearless Foodie:

Taste of Restaurant Week--Thursday Feb. 21--Free

Lest you've forgotten, here's a brief reminder of the aim of the gig from the organizers:

"For one special week, over 30 restaurants in Knoxville will offer special prix fixe menus, offering a complete three-course dinner for either $25* or $35*.offering great, specially-created meals at exceptional prices is a treat for Knoxville's notable dining-out public. Plus it gives visitors another great reason to come to our city...But the dining public is not the only group benefiting from this event. For each meal purchased, $5 will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee to help feed the hungry throughout our 18-county service area."

And even better, here's a freebie to get in the mood if your business takes you downtown on Thursday:

Downtown workers, dwellers and visitors will receive a preview of Knoxville Restaurant Week's special menus at Taste of Knoxville Restaurant Week on Market Square on Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Participating restaurants, including Tupelo Honey Café, Puleo's Grille, Latitude 35 and Windows on the Park, will set up in Bill Lyons Pavilion to provide complimentary samples of what guests can expect from the third annual Knoxville Restaurant Week, which starts this Sunday. Drawings will be held for gift cards from participating restaurants to be used during Restaurant Week or throughout the year.
