Fearless Foodie:

A Delicious Way to Support the Crown and Goose--and Second Harvest!

Thumbnail image for 1234115_10151787028283941_1036771568_n.jpgExercise your right to vote! The Crown and Goose in the Old City (that cool English pub with the patio...) is participating in the James Beard Foundation's Taste America, Local Dish. It works like this: whoever sells the most of their dish in a given category gets a cash prize for a designated charity--Crown and Goose would give over to Second Harvest Food Bank.

For the diner's part, you'll be required to visit Crown and Goose from September 1 through October 31, order and photograph the Local Dish, and then post it to Instagram with #JBFTasteamerica and the hashtag of your city,

The good news is the dish looks delicious: they're going with Crispy Potato Wrapped Quail stuffed with Sweetwater cheddar. It's served with roasted beets & caramelized Brussel sprouts, Cruze Farm buttermilk herb crème fraîche, and a Benton's Bacon and Belle Meade Bourbon vinaigrette drizzle. Good luck, Crown and Goose!
