I am not remotely unbiased where Dan Goss is concerned. The managing partner at the Downtown Grill and Brewery has been a good friend and sometime mentor to me since I started playing in his freeroll poker tourneys these many years back (7? 6? more? let's just say time flies). He's always anteing up for benefits--Scarecrow Foundation to Haiti relief to shaving his head in solidarity with a small child fighting cancer), and the Man of the Year endeavor benefitting the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society is just his latest. He's got lots of fundraising tricks up his sleeve for the coming months (before they settle from among the nominees on one Man of the Year) but this one coming up April 13 promises to be fun. And hey, I guess they can't all be Texas Hold 'Em--maybe next time.
