AC Entertainment's Charlie Jennings is featured in the December "Reader of the Month" column in Decibel magazine, which should hit stands in a week or two. The feature's not online, but Jennings cops to being a fan of Bela Fleck, praises Swedish metal, and discusses the resurgence of vinyl among indie labels.
I don't have anything interesting to say about the 2009 Grammy Award nominations released yesterday.

All Summer Long

Kid Rock really is the best rock star in America right now. He was in the running just for crossing "All Summer Long" over to classic rock radio and then the country charts, but bringing Lil Wayne onstage at the CMAs to pretend to play guitar with him (and both of them wearing Tennessee Titans jerseys, no less!) during the song made it official.

Kenny Chesney won an inexplicable fourth Entertainer of the Year Award. Go figure.
That ridiculous street-corner arrangement of "The Star Spangled Banner' by the Backstreet Boys last night before the first game of the World Series, along with Jessica Simpson's dreadful performance of the song at a NASCAR race earlier this month, makes me think that Carrie Underwood should be America's Official National Anthem Singer. If she could just hit that high note at the end.
